Frequently asked questions

What is ScoopLab?

ScoopLab is a vet-developed daily superfood powder for dogs. Each scoop combines 22 whole-food active ingredients — including pumpkin, kale, cranberry, blueberry, bovine colostrum, turmeric and the probiotic Bacillus coagulans — in a chicken-liver-flavored powder you stir into your dog's regular food. The full ingredient panel is published with exact milligram amounts.

Who formulated ScoopLab?

ScoopLab was formulated by Dr. Henry Yoo, DVM, MS, MBA — a companion-animal veterinarian with more than 30 years in private practice, a master's degree in veterinary preventive medicine from The Ohio State University, and a 2022 Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine Distinguished Alumni Award. Read his profile.

How much ScoopLab should I give my dog?

Serve by body weight: 1 scoop (2 g) a day for dogs under 11 lbs, 1½ scoops (3 g) for 11–22 lbs, 2 scoops (4 g) for 22–44 lbs, and 2½–3 scoops (5–6 g) for dogs over 44 lbs. A measuring scoop is included in every jar.

How long does one 120 g jar last?

About 60 days for a dog under 11 lbs, 40 days for 11–22 lbs, 30 days for 22–44 lbs, and 20–24 days for dogs over 44 lbs.

Can I mix it into wet food, dry kibble or water?

Yes. Stir it into wet food, sprinkle it over dry kibble, or mix it into water. A little moisture helps the powder coat kibble.

What's in ScoopLab besides fruits and vegetables?

Alongside the produce, each scoop includes egg yolk powder, bovine colostrum, brewer's yeast, chicory root inulin (a prebiotic fiber), the probiotic Bacillus coagulans, taurine, vitamin C and chelated zinc. Chicken liver and chicken flavor make it taste like food dogs already want to eat.

Is ScoopLab grain-free?

ScoopLab contains no grain, corn or soy derivatives.

Does ScoopLab use a proprietary blend?

No. Every active ingredient is listed with its exact amount per serving, so you can compare ScoopLab line by line with any other dog supplement or food topper.

Is ScoopLab a complete diet?

No. ScoopLab is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding alongside a complete and balanced dog food. If your dog is pregnant, nursing, on medication or being treated for a health condition, talk to your veterinarian before use.

What's the difference between the jar and the refill pouch?

They hold the same 120 g of the same blend. Buy the reusable jar first — it comes with the measuring scoop — then top it up with refill pouches, which use far less packaging.
